Regional budget airline Sky Pasada announced on Facebook that they'll be launching new flights from Laoag International Airport starting this April! Passengers can now book trips to three exciting destinations in northern Luzon:

  • Basco, Batanes
  • Calayan, Cagayan
  • Baguio City (with a stopover at Binalonan Airport, Pangasinan)

This is great news for travelers seeking affordable ways to explore the beauty of northern Philippines. Sky Pasada, known as the "jeepney in the sky," already operates flights from Tuguegarao to various destinations in the region. Their fleet consists of smaller aircraft like the LET 410 UVP (15 passengers), Cessna Grand Caravan Ex (12 passengers), and Mahindra GA8 Airvan (7 passengers).

Currently, Laoag International Airport mainly serves Manila and Cebu through Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. With Sky Pasada's arrival and the ongoing runway expansion, the airport is poised to become a more significant transportation hub in the north.
